Hello,

I recently purchased an Ryzen 7 1700 CPU (OC to 3.8Ghz), G Skill Flare X 3200Mhz 16GB memory kit with a X370 Taichi motherboard to go along with my GTX 1060 video card.

I've just done a fresh OS installation, all drivers needed and latest NVIDIA drivers non-beta.
When I go to play any full-screen game I get this:

Someone told me 1500ish isn't bad but my OCD is killing me, please help!

^ it is if its correct but it probably isn't.

Most of that is prob due tot he switch between low & High GPU clocks when you enter full screen mode.

Once its running full speed 3d clocks that latency willnnotbbe there any more.

Run a gpu bench , anything will do that forces 3d GPU clocks, in a windows then start latencymon .

Well just tested same game in Windowed Full Screen aka Borderless.. no DPC latency.. strange enough in full screen mode testing I noticed the DPC latency didnt happen with no GPU overclock, but does with my OC settings and not at all in Windowed Full Screen mode.

So pretty much I guess its the huge clock jump with my OC settings going from like 1500mhz to 2100mhz? in normal full screen mode.

^ yes its exactly that , there's actually a 2d clock which is also much much much lower (350mhz or so)

While in game it should not affect anything , its just that initial clock jump (or 2) into full power mode.

It does sound like your overclock may be unstable though .

It maybe throttling clocks under heavy use , that drop can introduce latency.

Why jot just stick to that +100mhz overclock & be done ??
An extra 20-50mhz really isn't going to make any kind of worthwhile performance difference at the end of the day.

Yeah I think it was like 3-5 FPS more from 100mhz to 200mhz on clock.. also strange If I put say 200+ on memory no additional latency, but I can go all the way up till like 700 on memory with no latency its just the clock speed causing issue.
