Hey, I asked a similar question already, However, I need to make sure. Will the Corsair CX450M be enough for a Msi gtx 1060 6gb gaming x and a Ryzen 5 1500x? I plan to overclock in the fututre to squeez as much performance as i can. Should I invest an extra few bucks to get the CX550M?

The good things usually posted are characterized as follows:

It's usually described as a "good PSU for the money" ... with the emphasis on the last 3 words .... but compared to what ?

Among the issues with the CXM series are sleeve-bearing fan. high fan speeds at low loads (noise), poor performance on 3.3V rail performance in Advanced Transient Response tests, inadequately sized and low quality secondary side caps, high Inrush current with 115V input, hold up time on power Ok signal's and too small of a distance between peripheral connectors. But why pay more money when better quality and larger units are cheaper ?
Size wise it's perfectly fine, tho if overclocking I'd want bigger. The CX M series is better than the older CX series but not one I would use in a gaming box.... certainly not where overclocking is involved.

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 1060 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 350~400 Watts power supply unit.

If you are going to overclock your GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina

At $59 for the CX450m

I'd get the M12 520 or S12 620 for $47

Im too stupid to understand half what you just said, but seems enough for me to choose the Seasonic over the Corsaird at a 5e larger price tag and the cost of no modular cables. I rather stable performance than modular cables. Thanks for the fast response and an in dept explanation :)
