Hello, I bought an ASUS Z270 Tuf Mark I mobo to find out after I built the system that it doesn't power on after I press the case button. My first thought was that the case button is broken, but after some testing I found out that those two (or one of them) PWR pins are broken or intrerrupted. I unplugged all the AIO connectors I put a screwdriver between those two PWR pins an nothing happend, after that I put the same screwdriver between RESET pins and the PC restarted. I even tried to use the included adapter and didn't work, I tried to switch the connectors and still the same result. My PC components were a gift sent to me from my cousin in Germany, me living in Romania. So I can't send it to warranty. I tried to power the system by RTC and that doesn't work either, please help me because it is driving me crazy.

Thanks for your time, I appreciate any answer or sugestion. Maybe I'm not the only one who had this problem.

Have a nice day! :)

Solution
Powerbutton pinout:
Right_up =GND
Right_down =PWR
Left_up =NC
Left_down =NC

So, you may solder a wire from Right_down pin to PANEL PWR pin.
Voltage will be 3V standby there.

I appreciate your answer, but I'm not stupid. I know which wire goes where, I plugged them correctly in the first place and it didn't work! :)

I've turn the system on using the power-on button located on the bottom of the motherboard and then I tried to test de reset switch.

You can measure voltage on those PWR pins to be sure if there any problems: one of pins must have 3V (or 5V) standby.
If no voltage- check your PSU standby voltage.
If 3V (or 5V) standby is present on PWR pin- it may be problem with Nuvoton chip.

Thanks for the reply, I just measured the pins and they have 0 volts. I measured another 2 pins and they show 5V.... so I thinks they are intrrerupted or something..

How can I test my PSU standby voltage?

Ok, thank you so much.. so the problem is the motherboard pins... That is what I was afraid of... :(

You can also temporarily wire the reset button to the PWR SW pins, using the reset switch to attempt power it on, just to rule out something wrong with the switch, or one of the two wires headed there from it....
Conversely, the two power swittch wires temp wired to the RESET header should perform the reset function fine if switch and two wires are fine, continuity wise...

Then we will know for certain it is the mainboard if the results are as predicted...
