Hi! so i bought my pc like a couple of months ago, so i have been experiencing a loud noise coming from the psu its like a grinding noise , now I don't know what to do with this, could it be a wire hitting the fan? but when i looked at it most likely not because when I turn on my PC it would make a grinding noise but when i turn it off the noise is gone, and later on comeback again once i shut my pc down and try to open it and so on, could it be just dust? because i haven't clean my pc since i bought it, or does it need lubricating? I really don't know helping me out would be great.

Edit: When i look at the psu fan when it is grinding the fan spins slow, and when i put my hand to see if there is any air coming out, there is none. But when i restart the pc the psu fan is back to normal

When opening it i would have been cautious to not break the warnity seal, if it has one. I had trouble in the past with a new faulty PSU, broke the seal when opening it and they woudn't change it for that.

If you have a spare FAN you can...

Can it be solved by lubricating the psu fan? like lubricating the sleeve bearing fan?
because the noise is not consistent, it happens at start up, when i shut it down and turn it on again the noise is gone, after i am done using the pc i turn it off then unplug it, later on it would happen again. could it be the lubricant that holds the sleeve bearing fan just dries up?

If you have a spare FAN you can try to change it and see if it keeps doing this loud noise.
