Hello. I bought a 1080 ftw 2 and I uninstalled all my previous AMD programs and drivers from my previous card. (using DDU)

So whenever I install my GPU(1080) to my monitor it doesn't get signal ( my monitor is connected to my motherboard via HDMI) When I connect it to my 1080 to test it, it still shows up as "no signal". Even when its just chilling in my PCIe slot with no power cables, and I switch back to connecting my monitor to my motherboard, I still get nothing. I have to completely remove it.

Do I need to update by BIOS? Do you think going into my device manager and disabling intel HD drivers would fix it? Thanks.

Shut down the computer.

Unplug the power cord from the PSU and the Monitor

Install the Graphics card into the PCIe slot.

Reset the bios by the jumper on the motherboard.

Hookup the power to the Graphics card and connect it to the monitor.

Plug in the Monitor power.

Plug in the PSU.

Turn the computer back on, it should go right to the bios and should be working at this point.

Reset Bios to optimized defaults, save and boot into Windows.

I took it to NCIX before I tried that. I they tried the card on a couple of test rigs and they couldn't get it working. They said the card was defective. Do you think if I do your method I would yield a successful result? I don't want to risk frying my MB because I can't find the jumper plug on my MB and taking out the battery I feel like with my luck I'd end up messing it up.
