Hi,
I'm going to be changing my motherboard for my PC (everything else will be remaining the same).
I currently run 1x 1TB SSD (C: Drive, Programs etc.), 1x 240GB SSD (Used to store my graphic design files for work, uni work), 1x 1TB HDD (Used to store media such as photos, music etc).

I know it is good practice to reinstall windows 10 if you are changing motherboard, but my question would be if whether or not I should do the same for the other two harddrives (240gb ssd and 1tb hdd) if they do not have any system files on them?

Thanks!

Solution
As long as they're only storage drives, and not used for any programs, then there's no reason unless you really want to. If you did redirect any programs to be installed on those drives, those program files won't do anything but take up room so you can just delete the files without doing a reformat.

Considering that those MBs can't be all too different as you are not changing CPU too and W10 is very resilient, you might not even have to reinstall windows. Try it first before you go to all that trouble. I already use same W10 installation thru 3 MB, processor, GPU and memory changes. Just had to update few drivers.
