I have option to select Dual processor Intel Xeon E5-2650 V4 vs Single processor Intel Xeon E5-2699 V4. My main purpose is to run mathematical models with huge data exchange on hard disk. The model is not designed for GPU so I will be using CPU power. Considering the fact that two processors of E5-2650 are much cheaper than the single processor of E5-2699 (both v4) at my location. Is there any additional advantage I will get by opting single E5-2699 over dual E5-2650?

Solution
Definitely E5-2699 V4 because it only has 2 less cores but comes with 0.3GHz higher all core turbo which will help you in tasks which require higher clock speed.
