I know but I was on a tight budget. I'll buy a 8gb later 2400mhz to make
It dual channel
Also are you sure it's compatible and why did you prefer tomahawk
Do you suspect anything that isn't compatible in this cause then tell me ASAP I'll have cancel it.
Hey I checked the motherboard site it says dual channel memory type check it for yourself if I'm wrong cause that worries me. If the motherboard only supports dual channel.

Admirable
Most MOBO's support Single/Dual Channel ( i'd say every single one of current mobos ), so you don't have to worry about that single RAM stick, it will work.
It' will be a kinda nice option to switch over to Tomahawk, the MORTAR series are a more budgety approach, therefore it offers a bit less of resources. If you are willing to stretch the budget a little, then it's a thing to consider, yes.

Just stay aware that your current PSU isn't the more reliable unit you could use. It's a cheap option, but's not meant for overclocking nor high power-demanding systems. Keep your system as is and it will be fine, if you wish to add a stronger GPU/CPU later, i'll recommend you to switch it over.

Ryzen is very picky when it comes to ram (works better with Sumsung then Hynix). You have to find the exact serial number of ram, that your motherboard supports (it looks like this SKU: PVE48G240C5KRD ) to avoid problems with system stability. AM4 motherboards are unfortunately picky, when it comes to ram support, not like intels socket LGA1151 MBs.

MSI B350-TOMAHAWK is a good motherboard for overclocking CPU and not too expensive.

Here is a support list for your mobo:

Are you saying that the mobo is picky and that you are not sure about the ram if it'll fit??
Also on the Amazon page it said 85% efficiency on that psu so I thought it would be a good psu.

Serial number of ram you have chosen is F4-2400C15S-8GIS. As you can see, it's not on the list of supported rams confirmed by manufacturer. It might still work, but MB can reduce it's working frequency to 2133Mhz (which is not a big deal) or it might make your system unstable. If I were you, I'd choose ram from manufacturer's support list, to avoid a gamble.

Your chosen PSU will be just fine, even for overclocking Ryzen. Just don't expect it to last 10+ years or be very quiet.

Yeh I can handle that plus 2133mhz is okay for me no problem
I took that ram cause it was cheap and I'm going to buy another 8gb ram in the near future for dual channel and 16gb
Thanks everyone.
