Hello

I recently overclocked my cpu to 4.7GHz and found the stable voltage to be 1.365v in bios, how ever the cpu shows to be running with 1.37v in HWiNFO when idle.

When playing games such as PLAYERUKNOWN'S Battlegrounds the voltages seems to drop to about 1.35 and when stress testing even lower. I believe this is to do with vdroop but im not sure.

Also, keeping the cpu cool is not an issue. I have a 280mm radiator with 2 corsair sp140 fans keeping the cpu around 20 degrees celsius idle, around 40 - 50 when playing games and 60 when stress testing.

My question is this, is this a safe voltage to constantly keep the cpu at 1.37? Ive seen some people say 1.4 is safe with proper cooling so I should be safe at 1.37 right? However, there are people saying 1.3 and above is risky.

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me this is all good and safe or whether I need to rethink my overclock.

Thanks, Jamie.

still seems low to me

can you double check using realtemp

if the temps are accurate then they are pretty good--and you are at about the voltage i wouldnt feel comfortable going over for 4.7ghz--ie 1.37v

though if its at 1.37v idle

1--it cant be at 20---25c using 1.37v

2--you arent using any power saving features to drop the voltage when its not needed

but thats just me personally seen others using 1.4v on that cpu and they think its fine

Is this safe for the long run? Thats my main concern.

From HWiNFO, the cores are around 20 but fluctuate between 19 and 25
