I just bought a new HD Toshiba 1TB DT01ACA100. I went to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management and i started formatting. While in process the pc closes and when i open it again the HD was not detected either Bios or Windows. How can i fix it guys???

Solution

Have you tried a different cable and moving the HD to a different SATA port?
If you have, then there may be something wrong with the HD.
Do you have another computer you could test the hard drive in?
check if this newer intel mb your sata port not used by the system. some system now if some devices are turned on you lose some of the sata ports. make sure on the drive all the cables are fine and the drive is moving. run seagate tools check it health and hdtune. make sure the drive did not die on you.
