Hey guys

I'm not really 100% knowledgeable on PC parts and slang but I kinda know a little bit of the basics just as a heads up.

So I received a brand new Nvidia GTX 1050ti off of Amazon to upgrade my set-up. I've had it for a couple of weeks now running perfectly. I looked up everything needed for installing it and getting it up and running. It's been running fine for the couple of weeks I've had it until today. I was playing gang beasts on steam when all of a sudden my game and sound froze causing the screen to go black. I thought nothing of it as this happens every once in awhile and I thought I could fix it by simply turning the PC on and off. Unfortunately when I tried to turn it back on everything booted up including the fans on the GPU but the screen displayed that there wasn't a signal. There wasn't even a bios showing up, it was as I've the monitor wasn't even plugged in.

Seeing this I thought "oh s*** my computer is dead" but then decided to unplug everything to find the source of the issue. I unplugged my graphics card and plugged in my original old GTX 550 and now the PC boots up normally. So for some reason my brand new two week old GTX 1050 is now not displaying any signal when I turn my PC on and is displaying a red GPU light on the motherboard as if there is an error with it.

I'm not quite sure what I can do the fix this but I'm hoping some of you may find the issue and know a way of fixing it. I can tell you my specs if needed but I'm sure it's something to do without the motherboard or graphics card. Like I said though it's been working fine for two weeks with no issues until today where it decided to just not work anymore.

Hopefully some of you guys have a suggestion on what's going on because to be quite honest, I'm baffled on what's going on.

OK, will do buddy.

I'm just really confused on whats happened because one minute it was fully functional and the next minute it just went kaput. I've literally only just received it to play PUBG. Hopefully it's nothing too major. Thank you anyways
