Let me in to my BIOS, bro.

Can someone help with this? I have been able to access my bios with current setup for over 3 years. Now, anything I try will not let me enter BIOS. I have tried Win10 startup options, now my KB does not even register for that either. I am unable to press any key to access Safe Mode, etc. I used to run Win7 and had no problem. Upgraded to 10... still no problem. Now, out of nowhere, I can not access my bios with any keyboard. I have tried a couple with no result.

Basically, what happens is that tapping or holding F2/Del does nothing and always just jumps to Windows startup.

I noticed a while back, probably 6 months ago, that my mouse no longer worked in the UEFI BIOS, but this didn't matter to me, because I could navigate fine via keyboard. Now, that is not working either. ugh...

My specs are as follows:

MOBO: Asus M5A97 R2.0
CPU: FX8350 (currently at stock settings)
RAM: 16GB at 1600 10 10 10 30
GPU: Sapphire RX 480 8gb
I have 3 HDD, 1 DVD drive
OS: Win10 64bit

I don't get it. It is as if my KB does not read prior to OS startup. It used to work just fine. I don't know what could have changed. My PC has never had this issue and I am beyond frustrated as I have tried MANY troubleshooting options that I have found online with no result.

Please anybody who has had this issue reach out and let me know what I can do. I just need to do some tinkering in VM settings of MOBO.

A couple things you can try, really quick,

1- shut-off , disconnect your hard-drives,
and reboot.
Make certain your keyboard is plugged in a native usb port, or the keyboard ps2 connector
If it's connected , let's say in a usb 2 or usb 3, non native port, it will not be usable before
your OS start's.

2- If the above fail's, unplug your pc, remove battery and flush your cmos.
reinsert battery, replug, and restart.

Stay in touch, i'll follow you until resolved...

One of these will work.

Good call. I actually bought an old PS/2 KB at a local thrift store and unplugged everything except motherboard, CPU, RAM, GPU, and M/KB. This worked. Thanks for the help.
