Hi,
I had 2 old HDD drives I wanted to check out. I bought a cradle to allow me to put them on my laptop. Once I got the first drive loaded up and checked through it (didn't think to back it up here) I then unplugged and loaded the 2nd on. Then once I was done with that I changed drives again and the 1st drive came up saying error, device is corrupted or damaged. I had a look online and did some research and was suggested to open command prompt and did chkdsk f and r. This seemed to help, but then denied me access. After fixing that it seems I have only got 3GB data instead of the 40GB originally.
Have I lost the data completely or can it still be recovered?
Thanks
James
