ASUS Maximus IX Hero BIOS update all good ?

Hi all,

So I've just performed a BIOS update on my IX hero, my previous experiences with doing bios updates on asus boards have been rather bad, i performed the update via the ez update software bundled with the board. During the update it turned on and off a few times but seems to be fine, anything I should look out for when a bad update happens ?, its basically a brand new system (new cpu, mobo, ram and gpu) so I would like to keep it all perfect. One additional thing, the update seemed to of reset my bios settings, which only really includes my RAM speeds as I havent overclocked it. Thanks all

It's normal for the system to restart a couple times after flashing a bios update. It's also normal for everything to reset as settings can't be carried over to the new bios version.
Also that motherboard has the USB BIOS Flashback feature so if something do go wrong, you can flashed the correct bios again.
Whilst the Ez Update is a convenient way to update the bios, if you manually update the bios within the bios menu there's a less chance of something failing to update.

Well when i updated my bios on the IX yesterday and when it finished i tried to turn my pc on and it turned on for like 3-4 seconds then shut off im not sure where the cmos reset button is so i took the cmos battery out and put it back in and it didn't fix anything so then i took my ram out and it boots up just fine but i dont get any picture which sounds normal but i dont get any beeps also
