My friend has offered me a bundle on an i7 6800k plus a GA-X99-Designare EX Motherboard for £450. Currently im looking at another option of getting a new i7 7700k plus a new GA-Z270X-DESIGNARE motherboard for £463.

I would predominantly be using the system for gaming so im not sure if i need the extra multi core bonus from the 6800k. Am i getting better performance for my money with my bundle instead of the bundle from my friend?

how about ryzen 5 1600+b350 mobo? is it cheaper in your area? for sure dont waste your money on processor you dont need, processor above 4 cores were used mostly by content creator, because those more cores have benefits of faster processing, however if you only do gaming, 4 cores fine, but 6 cores also no problem if you want to do a bit future proofing. however what your friend offering is pretty great though, because the 6800k is pretty pricy, is it used or new?
