What are requirements for a graphic card to be compatible with a system.

power supply meets or exceeds the cards requirements for wattage, also the power supply must have the proper pcie cables if the card requires them

motherboard has a pcie slot

the pc case is big enough to fit the card

the card has the same type of outputs as the monitor has inputs ( i.e. DVI, HDMI, VGA, etc etc )

else you need to buy an adapter

pretty weak dual core, you will need to get a quad core athlon to fully make use of the 1050

it should work, if you meet all the requirements

but dont expect full performance from the card until you upgrade the cpu

Intel cpu's are not compatible with what you have

you need an athlon x4

post back with your motherboard make and model

if you dont know, run this and the information will be under the "mainboard" tab

What if I also change motherboard along cpu.by the way my current motherboard is Asus M11BB

wasted money if all you are going to get is a gtx 1050

best athlon that motherboard supports is the AMD AthlonX4 760K

a athlon x4 760k is a good pair with a 1050

and you are not wasting money switching platforms

just get the athlon x4, and save your money for a new complete rebuild down the road
