Formatting Hard Drive

My teen's father purchased him a laptop from a pawn shop. Unfortunatley, he can't do much because the password we have is not the administrator. How can the hard drive be formatted.

well you can use the bootable windows pendrive and then you can format it

Edit i thought it was new HDD that they want to format it my bad

Have him ask his father for the admin password

Just remember, if you end up wiping the drive you will no longer have an OS and even if you could get it reinstalled. You would need to hope the license key on the system will work and its not locked out from another activation.
