I just installed my EVGA G3 650 W 80+ Gold, into my system. It Has a fan curve, so when it isn't at a high load, the fans will barely spin, or not spin outright. Every time I get into a game, the fan starts kicking in and I hear a really loud buzzing noise. After about 60 seconds it stops. I don't think it is the fan though, I think it's something else in the PSU making that sound. Any thoughts?

Solution
Do you physically see the fan spinning or do you just assume its spinning? If your just guessing it could be the profile is not giving enough voltage to actually spin the fan and the motor is making the noise trying to get it to spin.

I have a fan controller that has a fan set to 6v, if you drop it under that the fan will stop spinning. To get it to run again you have to give it 8-9v then drop it back down. On full system boot the controller will give all fans 12v for a few seconds and then drop voltage to what I have them set at.
