Hi All,

I currently have a Linux based server that I purchased a 2-3 years ago connected to 3-4 machines with ethernet cables, however ideally I would like to have the ability to connect more machines to the server over the WiFi for when speeds are important.

I've wired the server into the router that is used to share files between the WiFi connected machines, but it doesn't seem to register at all with the server. I'm a bit of a Linux novice and it's a bit of a mystery to me, so any and help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the router is connected to the internet, with some Macs connected to the internet via WiFi or ethernet through this router, but I can't seem to get any sign from the server that it is wired in.
