Hello

I have a used Z800. I love it. It has 96 Gig RAM.
The video card is limiting my ability to run Solidworks 3D modelling software.
I get a "GPU memory usage exceded" or something and Solidworks closes. It's a major pain.
The original card is a 1023MB NVIDIA Quadro 2000.

I want to put a good video card in the machine.
I just dont know how good I can go because it's kind of an old PC.
When I run Speccy the specs are as follows.

Can someone recommend a good PCI express x16 Card that should work?
I'm happy to provide any information or pictures if that helps.

Thanks so much for any help.
Marc

You can double check here http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html how the graphics will do with different configs (OS, version of solidworks and so on). Even an FX4800 will work alright, but I'd recommend at least a Quadro 4000; also you got more details about productivity GPUs here http://www.nvidia.co.uk/content/PDF/product-comparison/Product_Comparison_Oct_2012.pdf

Also HP Z800 can take quite a few graphic cards http://kelsusit.com/hp-z800-refurbished-workstation-computer/ you'll have a pdf at the end of the page as well.
