Should be okay.

However, I recommend that you purchase the USB adapter to match the router make and model.

(Prevents manufacturer's from pointing fingers at each other if things are not working.)

In addition purchase a USB extension cable so you can raise the USB adapter up and away from the back of the computer.

Unfortunately the USB adapter and the extension cable may be a tempting new cat toy....

Will have to leave that issue to you. ;-)
