Hi, I recently upgraded my PC for the first time but am having problems getting it to boot. I'm pretty sure everything is connected fine but when I turn the PC on, it boots for about 18-19 seconds, the graphics card switches off after about 10 and my monitor just keeps scanning for DVI/HDMI/VGA and then just goes to sleep.

My PC just then repeats turning on/off meanwhile my monitor just stays at a black screen (because it's gone to sleep at this point).

My old PC connected via DVI fine, but my new motherboard has a DVI slot as well as on the graphics card (which has 2) but I've plugged it into the graphics card as I assumed that was the correct thing to do.

Things I've tried: plugging the DVI in the motherboard instead of the graphics card & swapping the rams around and trying 1 at a time to see maybe if one if faulty.

The graphics card I know works perfectly as it worked on my old system, the CPU I got from a friend and he tested it worked and the MOBO I bought brand new. The PSU was also from my old system and that worked fine. The ram I did buy off eBay but the seller said it had hardly been used and worked.

I'm kinda thinking it may be the RAM that's the issue but I'm not sure, I can't think what else could be the problem. If anyone has any suggestions, or have solved a similar issue before, I'd really appreciate some help. Gutted my PC is now not working and I'm kinda stuck on what to do.

PC specs:

Cooler Master - Seidon 120V VER.2 76.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (I know I don't really need this as I won't be overclocking but I originally had it for my fx-8320 and thought it would be better than the stock cooler)
Gigabyte - GA-H110M-S2H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (this has an weird orange light when I boot, not sure what that is)
Kingston - HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory

Tried this without the gtx 1060 in?
Can you get into the bios? Most of the times press (and keep tapping until in the bios) the delete button right after post or the beep that signals that the pc starts
Did you reinstall windows? Might be necessary.
