Hi,

I have had an accident involving my PC, it is a relatively new build. I had a bottle of soda on my desk which was frozen, it defrosted and leaked into the front audio/mic ports

If you see this picture i have circled what it looks like from the inside.

Since then, whenever i load a game i will randomly crash and hear a horrible sound. I have recorded it and uploaded so you can see what i mean.

I would really, really appreciate some advise. I am fearing that i may have to replace my motherboard and would very much prefer not to.

Thanks guys.

That's called "dubstep". >_>

How long ago did it get water in there? If it was recently, did you make sure the ports are completely dried out? It might also be worth disconnecting the front panel header from the motherboard, and see if that prevents the crashes.

Otherwise, I agree with dextermat that the motherboard may have gotten damaged. It might just be limited to the sound hardware though, so you might try disabling the onboard audio and see if the crashes still occur. If the system doesn't crash with the onboard sound disabled, adding a PCIe soundcard or USB sound device could potentially be an alternative to replacing the whole motherboard.
