My Tablet 4 won't boot. When I put it in "odin mode" I am given a single horizontal white line in the center of the display. I can click up on the volume and get the text in the upper left hand corner however I do not get the android icon. Also, it seems most have ODIN MODE in red text whereas mine is white. I cannot restore the firmware with either Odin PC or Kies.

Edit:
This is what I received when I use Odin and I use a download PIT file.

I did not, can't say that it hasn't though. This belonged to a neighbor who is an older fellow so I doubt he did but who knows.

If you press sound arrow down and the home key while booting. Does it boot into another recovery manager other then Odin?

If it has a custom rom on it, it most likely has a secondary recovery manager. If we can rule out a custom rom, it would be helpful in the troubleshooting.

That is what I had been trying to do but I get a 'Fail" notification. Also, for some reason I can't get Odin mode back. Power+Volume Down+Home and it usually comes up. Could the failed attempt at fixing the firmware have screwed me somehow?

Okay, I am back in the odin mode although I'm fairly certain something is wrong. It's just a black screen with 4 lines of white lettering in the top left of the screen.

I've used Odin on the PC to try and load 'T230NUUEU0AOD1_T230NUXAR0AOD1_HOME.tar.md5' onto it but it fails and gives me '<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed."

Edit:
this guy seems to be experiencing something similar.

And what about using Kies?

While this is not related to your firmware. He has a similar issue.

See if anything there can help.

XDA devs is defiantly the place you want to go to with this on the forums. They make firmwares\ISOs for tons of devices etc... they run into these types of issues all the time.

For that exact issue. I ran into it once with a Gen1 Kindle Fire but it was years ago. I forgot what I did to resolve it. May have flashed with another earlier version of the stock rom.

I've posted there but I have yet to even receive a reply. Thanks for trying.

If there is anyone who has any tips for me, please reply.
