i have a i7 7700k, msi gtx 1070 gaming x, 2tb hdd, gigabyte z170x gaming, and a 850 watt thermaltake gold PSU, and a liquid cooling corsair H75

i built a new gaming pc (first time) and ive been noticing my gpu isnt performing as well as all the other benchmarks ive seen on 3dmark. (http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/21382703?) this is my benchmark test. ive talked to about 20 different tech support specialists and they have been no help so far. i did a clean install of windows and nothing has changed, uninstalled drivers, made sure they were updated, and still no luck. any help is appreciated! thanks

These are mine http://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/2166449/spy/1890993/spy/1874683 in comparison to yours. Your scores are normal. I was rocking a overclock on the video card and 3200 memory @ CL14. That adds a little bit to the score.

I'm not sure what you are after. That score is combining both the CPU and Video Card. So someone with a 10Core CPU overclocked is going to have a much higher overall score, but the GPU / Graphics Score will be roughly the same.

This is why the general score in benchmarks are not very helpful in reviews. It isn't a good comparison to your system. GPU score however is a good indication of how you stack up to everyone else.

Your score is not that low. You would rank 157 on for single cards on hwbot.org. And that is not just 1070s, that is for all the cards including Titan, 1080ti, etc. Additionally, all of those cards over overclocked. I would tell you to overclock your CPU and your video card and see how your performance looks.

Also, it does say your graphics driver is not approved. The last driver for Nvidia was on the 24th, which is 10 days. It says it takes no more than 3-4 days for the drivers to clear from Futuremark. Are you running beta drivers? This could be a cause for a low score.

What about other benchmarks? Nvidia cards do not always play well with Time Spy as they are not great at dx 12. I would run Unigine Heaven and see how your scores are.

When you are worried about a component not working correctly, the first thing to look at is your temperatures. What are your temps for your CPU and GPU? If your GPU gets to 85C it will throttle and downclock to reduce temps. Same goes for the CPU.

all my temps are around 30-40C so its not throttling anything. but i will definetly uninstall the drivers and get the recommended ones. thanks for the info.

Other than your drivers being "outdated" nothing is wrong with your setup. I don't know what you are comparing it to or what "other benchmarks" you've seen. I think you just don't want to hear that those scores are normal.

If you link these other benchmark scores, I can tell you why they are higher.
