I recently bought a Nixeus vue 24a and using the included DP cable keeps giving me an error when the screen wakes up. I have an RX 570 and the notification center says "the system has detected a link failure..." Is this due to a faulty cable? or is it the Crimson drivers (17.7.2) that don't like 144hz monitors? I've also noticed that upon booting, the ASrock screen doesnt appear- the image only comes up once I've hit the windows login screen.

on new pc there are more then one primany video setting now in the bios and with onboard video and gpu video you can have two outouputs going at the same time. in the bios set priamny display from auto to peg/pci and turn of on board video. this should make the gpu the main video output.

I'm not totally following you. I looked around in my UEFI settings and didn't see anything. Could it be a bad DP cable, or the AMD software? I turned everything off, unplugged monitor power & changed the port to a different DP on the Graphics, and even did a clean install of the latest Radeon drivers. Btw, system specs as follows if that will make a difference:

R5 1400
RX 570
Asrock B350 Pro4
Windows 10 Edu

BIOS is good to go. I actually think I figured it out on accident. For what it's worth, I changed the power plan to max performance and it hasn't been doing it. I imagine it has something to do with the PCI power saving features that are disabled in the max performance power plan
