Hello All,

The title says it all. I am looking for a card with specs comparable to a GTX 1050 with dual Displayports but having a great challenge.

The GTX 1060 is too much graphics card for my needs in addition to being out of my budget.

Does what I'm looking for exist? I'd be willing to wait if I had to, though it would be nice if what I am looking for was available by the end of the year for example.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks all.

Yes. The HDMI ports on the 1050TI are HDMI2.0b, which will support 60hz with no problems. Just make sure that your HDMI cable is at least HDMI 2.0. The 1.0 and 1.4 cables will probably prevent the 60hz bandwidth. The GTX660 uses HDMI 1.4, which is why it is limited to 30hz.

To clarify, I have two Samsung U28E590 monitors and I want to drive them both at a 60Hz refresh rate. My PC came with a stock GTX 660.

I thought of that as a solution but with what they cost I'd rather put that money into just buying a card that has what I am looking for without it.

Hi,

I appreciate your suggestion but as I said I don't think it's ideal for my situation. I'd have to purchase a GTX 1050 and the splitter. If you added up the total cost for not much more money I can purchase a GTX 1060 that would have the dual ports built in and be a much better card as well.

Wouldn't you agree?

I'm looking for a comparable card to a GTX 1050, and to clarify, that INCLUDES dual DisplayPorts.

Is there anything like that available on the market presently. Anyone?

If not, will a card such as that possibly be released by the end of 2017?

For that matter, anyone have a rough idea when the GTX 1060 would be replaced by a new model? At that time it might be cheap enough for it to be a practical solution for me.

I'm in no rush, but I would like to purchase what I'm looking for as soon as it's available. To give you an idea of my stubbornness in waiting for items I want to hit the market...I waited to purchase an Ipod, any Ipod, until the 160gb classic Ipod was released. Meantime I just kept my Itunes up. I refused to purchase an Ipod until one was available that met my capacity requirements.

Oh, and presently I own an Ipod Video 5.5 that was modded with a 512gb SSD drive in keeping with the above. In addition to TWO with 240gb regular HD's. Don't tell Apple. Shhhhh.

I'm a guy in his mid 40's. I can see myself playing an occasional game (or a family member, even more so) and just want to be able to do it with acceptable performance. I require nothing more.

Thoughts anyone?

Why not just use the 1050? That monitor appears to have both Display Port and HDMI jacks, so just use one of the HDMI ports and the Display Port, or two HDMI ports.

Get a GTX1050TI. It will work for you with two of those monitors.

Hmm....would the HDMI support a 60hz display rate? That's the problem I am having now. The GTX 660 I presently have is only supporting 30hz with the HDMI jack, 60hz with the DisplayPort. If I'm going to be in the same boat I'd just as soon wait for the GTX 1060 to come down to a price acceptable to me. Again, no rush. I appreciate your input.
