Just got my AM4 bracket in the mail for the 212 evo and smacked that sucker on my Ryzen 5 1600x expecting to be running at a nice temperature while gaming and an even nicer number while idling.
Well that did not happen. My current temps are:
Lowest temp while idling was a 38 while the average was 50.
Lowest temp while gaming was 55 while the average was about 60 and the highest recorded with Core Temp was 71.
So long story short, am I just expecting to much out of a 35 dollar Air CPU cooler? Did I do something wrong while installing the Cooler, which I doubt but ya never know. OR, does ryzen just run really hot compared to other cpu's.
