Hi i recently bought a new setup.

Ryzen 5 1400
Gigabyte AB 350 gaming 3
G.skill Trident RGB z 3000mhz
Gigabyte GTX 1050 G1 Gaming

I'm running at 2133mhz currently and i want to achieve atleast 2933mhz. I tried to overclock the RAM i failed twice and succeeded at my 3rd try. However its still not showing as 2933mhz maybe i did something Wrong.

I havent update my bios though. So i just wondering if i update it does my ram will automatically adjust? or do i need to overclock it after i update the bios?

I tried updating bios on APP CENTER of Gigabyte but it failed so i don't now how to update it manually. THank you

Solution
Just be aware that ram speed is still an issue on Ryzen and to hit 2933 you might need to increase the voltage or loosen the timings. i have a CL15 3000mhz in my ryzen build and cant get it stable past 2666mhz. im waiting on bios improvements now.

As dawsilhelm said, update your bios. Also, give Ryzen master a try. I hit 2933 with my first try on G.Skill 3200 rated memory sticks by SK Hynix using Ryzen master

I think i got the idea why the APP CENTER failed to update my BIOS because i selected the whole RAR File instead of the f7 file inside it. Can APP center update the bios? or should i do it directly on the Bios itself?
