Hello,

I have an iPhone far away from a wireless router in a studio.

I want to run a very long Ethernet cable from the router to the room the iPhone is in.

I need a way of getting that internet connection from the ethernet cable to a personal hotspot, so the iPhone is connected to the internet. So Ethernet to Personal Hotspot.

Incase you were wondering, it is for facebook livestreaming. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you

Sounds great. So just to clarify, Ethernet cable goes into Windows 10 computer that has a wifi adaptor (basically it can connect to wifi), and then that computer can become a hotspot for iphone to connect to. So the computer acts as the hotspot.

Will look into it, thanks for the heads up

yes , you can connect your windows 10 pc or laptop to your router , if your pc has a wifi adapter , you have an option "Personal Hotspot" if you activate it you can choose the ethernet port from which you get ethernet , you can set your SSID , password , and so you can connect

What you are looking for is a wireless access point. Typically a wifi router set up with a special configuration that cuts out the routing function. Practically any router will do and the many advantage over a specially set up computer make it the preferred option.
