Yes. Just install it on your motherboard and when you install the OS choose it for the OS installation drive. Take a look at your motherboard, because pending on your board and what other devices you have some of your SATA hookups may be deactivated if you have the M.2 drive in .

Should also mention that you need a relatively modern OS to install onto an NVME drive since the OS has to be able to detect the SSD. Since the SSD is not using SATA, it's more complicated that just being able to detect a SATA controller and query it for drives. Still, any modern OS would work but I doubt you were trying to use XP or Vista.
