I like to set up my fan profiles so that under low load like reading TH the fans are pretty much dead silent from where I sit, even if the CPU runs a bit hotter. Then monitor temps when gaming and when 100% load like running prime 95. That way its silent under normal day to day and inaudible over the game play. Sounds Ike you are doing something similar higher temps for less noise, I'm all on board as I hate noisy PC's.

lowered the fan speeds from around 1300 rpm to around 1000 rpm through the bios because they were a little noisy. They do go up back to 1300 rpm when I play Overwatch but at least they aren't noisy all the time.

Thank you manddy123 and feelinfroggy777 for the quick and helpful responses!
