Hi guys,
I recently noticed that some strange sound was coming from my pc as I played games. At first I thought it is a cable touching the fans but soon realised this sound is completely different. It sounds like small electric sparks.
I put my ear as close as possible to the back of the case and heard it was coming from the direction of the psu.
In the meanwhile I opened my rig and looked for a cable or something interfering with the fans. When I connected some of the cables it made a short circuit.
I became scared and reopened it, touched a few cables here and there but did nothing in the and. After turning it back on it worked this time.

I have no idea what makes this sound of electric sparks but it only appears when I'm gaming and disappears immediately when I turn the game off. Is it still safe to use my pc? Maybe the PSU is not strong enough? Pls help.
The noise sounds something like this, just a lot softer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWAhqv8DBr0

GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 1070 (brand new)

RAM: 2x4gb Kingston hyperx fury (brand new)
Storage: Crucial MX300 525gb (brand new)

For the cost a replacement PSU i would get it replaced! Sounds like PSU is under to much stress, and they do get worse with age! Dont risk your PC over replacement PSU cost!
