AMD CPU running at 800mhz

So i upgraded my cpu to an AMD Phenom II 1045t and ever since I've used it it has stayed at 800mhz, I've disabled cool n quiet and it still stays at 800mhz max. The temps are very low, at like 25c-30c.

It's MAX 800mhz no matter what i do even under load.

PLease tell me your specs ? and what bios you are running on your motherboard ?
Im almost sure you need a bios update for you Phenom 2

The bios update is the most recent, and my specs are:
AMD Phenom II 1045t
8GB ddr2
gigabyte gt 1030
ANTEC VP500PC
I just upgraded and my old cpu(amd phenom 9650) ran fine.

Whats the motherboard ? The 9650 is a Phenom 1 chip and ddr2 the 1045t is a AM3 socket they go together but as you can see not very well

Check to see if your PC is in Power Save mode, in the power options.

There only 2 bios updates though and nothing is mark as to which bios is for what CPU

Uhh, yes there is. If you go to the CPU suppoort tab you can see at the side which bios suppoorts the cpus.

How are the temperatures? although very unlikely it could be thermal throttling

Your computer is older and i dont understand why at this stage you choose to upgrade if you can call it that on a ddr 2 platform with a AM3 chip yes it works but you are not getting the full use out of it even though yes it says. THis is the best its goign to get for you right now unless you ditch these old chips
