RAMs of different brands

My laptop had a pre installed Samsung 4gb RAM but I wanted to increase the RAM capacity so I installed an Elixir 4gb RAM into the second slot...But the system settings showing that the memory us only 3.92gb rather than 8gb...what am I doing wrong?

Click on start with right mouse button, then click on system (or search for system information). Check if your system type is 32 or 64 bit. If it 32 bit you cant have more than 4 gb of RAM. You need to install 64bit windows version to use more than 4gb of RAM.

My computer is currently running non activated windows 10 pro 64 bit...
Also I plugged the elixir ram into a different lap running wondows 10 pro 32 bit (inactivated too) and its showing that only 2.50 gb out of 4 gb is usable...
Please help SOMEBODY
