My hard drive doesent have screws on the back, it has little circles with indents on them ,how do i remove them to take off the green part of the hdd(wd hard drive )

Solution

yes sorry should have said star or torx not hex doing too many things at once here

Why? You realize once you do it it is very likely no longer work right? These are built in a clean room the smallest spec of dirt, dirt smaller than you can see floating in the air gets in there it can cause serious damage. Also depending on the drive it could have helium in it once opened it will escape the drive will no longer function.

I need to know how to remove the green part

the pcb/circuit board a lot of times is held on with hex screws

so need a hex screwdriver to remove it if its not one where they used phillips/cross head screws

LOL what about the blue part, im joking. Seriously not descriptive of what you are tying to do, a picture maybe? Or since its dead any how just take a drill bit to it? Its not like you are getting data off it anyhow once you open it.

lol

think maybe they want to try a new pcb

if you get 100% identical pcb

and if the pcb is the fault not the mechanics its possible to get the drive working again

have done it a few times for people
