Gtx 1060 3gb windforce or gtx 970 4gb ?

Hey guys
Im between those 2 and those 2 only. I ordered a gtx 1060 3gb windforce of amazon and now im thinking i could swap it for a used 4gb gtx 970. I cant afford a 6gb of the gtx 1060.
Should i get the 970 ?
I mainly play LoL and bf1 but i also play pretty much all other aaa titles from time to time.

If you're only gaming @1080p and are okay with not maxing out every single piece of AAA game, you're fine with 3Gb of RAM
The 1060 will be more than enough to keep a pretty decent FPS in anything you throw at it. You'll hardly go beyond those 3GB, it would be a wiser and more 'future-proof' choice to go with 4GB of VRAM, but not while decreasing the performance like the 970 would.

but mate a 580 is way better than a 1060 for sure . if benchmark charts claim otherwise it's because they are nvidia fans . maybe try to seek a 6gb 580 ? or a saphire 580 with 8 gb

@Jimmy the 580 is not always better than the gtx 1060 it depends on the game. Some games favor the gtx 1060 more than the 580 and vice versa.
With that being said, the gtx 1060 even the 6gb is still cheaper than a rx 580 8gb for a gamer.
Any gamer wouldnt buy a rx 580 8gb right now, either they go cheaper gtx 1060 or same priced gtx 1070.

No mate. Rx 4xx/5xx are overpriced currently due to the mining craze. The RX series gives same hash power as the more expensive gtx 1070/1080 so all miners out there bought thousands of these cards that eventually their price got increased massively to match the gtx 1070 right now.
So for a gamer it doesnt make sense to buy a RX 580 for the same price of a gtx 1070.
