i7 7700k Won't Go Beyond 4.5GHZ

I overclocked my i7 7700k to 4.5GHz and it is completely stable but it won't go beyond 4.5 GHZ while gaming.

the CPU clock speed wont go higher if it doesnt needs to. games usually use more GPU than CPU this days..

and your GPU is 99% load.

some user told me here on tom's that it's the voltage you gotta tweak with , anyhow that 's strange cause i overclocked my 6600k to 4.6 ghz !

thank you . i admit i'm not an OC expert by any means but i did OC my 6600k to 4.6 ghz on a gigabyte gaming 3 mobo last year . and the cpu is now damaged indeed.

Even with v-sync off? And no my gpu usage is not a 99%, it is at %98 usage most of the time and the lowest it drops is %96 usage. This is with v-sync off.
