No sound from headphones when plugged into the computer

I've had this computer for about a month now and just experienced some problems with the audio. Everything was working fine until when I plugged my headset into the front headphone and microphone ports, I got this screeching noise from the headset. At first I though it was the extension splitter cable because when I plugged the headset in without using the headphone and mic splitter the sound worked fine. Then I tried it a day later and without the splitter I got the same screeching noise. I've tested the headset on other Windows, Mac, and Mobile devices and the sound comes out perfectly clear. I have tried uninstalling the Realtek audio drivers and reinstalling them and using MSI Live Update 6 to get the latest drivers, but I still get the screeching noise. I have also tried to use the motherboard rear audio ports but got the same issue with the noise. I've also tried looking at the HD Audio plug, but that didn't help. Since both the front and rear audio ports emit the screeching noise, I was thinking that it could potentially be a motherboard problem. And by the way, when I check the status of when a headset is plugged in, it says everything is working fine.

Headset: Kingston Cloud Core.
Motherboard: MSI Z270 Tomahawk

Take a closer look at all the external cables you are using.

Google TR, TRS, TRRS: (Tip, Ring, Sleeve).

Be sure that you have the correct cable matches. Likewise for any adapters or splitters involved.

You are free to try other audio ports but check the User Guides/Manuals beforehand. You may need to make some configuration changes via the monitor (for example) menus.

Change only one thing at a time and keep notes so you can reverse something that did not work out.

Focus on narrowing down circumstances to where you can turn the screech "on or off".

Sounds to be a feedback loop.

If the headphones and mic work without problems elsewhere then their cable is probably okay.

Try plugging in the headphones and while the screech is occurring wiggle and gently pull all of the other cables and connectors. See if the screech stops somewhere along the way.

Check inside the computer and look for any loose or improperly connected audio cables. And do not overlook the microphone and its connections ether.

I tried wiggling all of the cables in the case so see if they were causing any problems with the audio. I had no luck with getting rid of the screeching noise. I have headphone and microphone ports on my monitor and was wondering if I could use those ports as an alternate. I have tried using it but whenever I play sound, it comes through the monitor speakers and not the headset.
