Monitor says hdmi no signal

I just built my pc from scratch done nothing else, wasn't sure to expect something at first, but then I read that something should come up on my monitor to show everything is working fine, but my monitor just says 'hdmi no signal', I'm stuck at this point really struggling on what to do, just spent 6 hours on this and really don't know how to solve this last step, I've already taken off the gpu and put it back on and I don't know what else to do

Make sure that the HDMI cable is plugged into the correct monitor HDMI port. Check the monitor's configuration. I.e., you may have plugged into HDMI 2. Monitor is "defaulting to" or set for HDMI 1.

Try another known working HDMI cable.

Try using the built in motherboard video connection instead of the GPU/HDMI connection.

Boot into safe mode using the native motherboard video port.
