So, after a bunch of testing and changing speeds and voltage.. I came out with a stable (or what seems to be, I've done a total of 1 hour of full load stress tests in XTU) 4.8GHz with 1.2v. CPU-Z shows the voltage running at a consistent 1.229v at 4.8GHz stable. From my understanding, it is very rare to be able to run this high of a clock speed at this low of a voltage.. So after these results I assumed I had hit the silicon lottery. Assuming this, I went on to try my luck with 5GHz (which I thought would be extremely easy to achieve, as I hit 4.8 with such a low voltage) and after trying 5GHz at 1.26v, 1.27v, and 1.28v, with the highest 1.28v maxing out at around 1.306v in CPU-Z, about ~5 minutes of each voltage level in the stress test at 5GHz would cause a BSOD. Any thoughts on why I can't achieve 5GHz with a similarly low voltage level? The temps under full load in the stress test max out at about 68c-70c while normally staying around 55c-60c, I'm using the EVGA CLC 280 Liquid AIO cooler for the CPU. Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Here is overclocking statistic of other users. http://www.overclock.net/t/1621347/kaby-lake-overclocking-guide-with-statistics
1.306 is still too low and normally you need higher voltage for 5GHZ. Its pretty easy to achieve 5GHZ with kabylake so keep bumping up your voltage until its stable, of course keep eye on temperature at the same time (personally 80-90C is ok for stress test, keep it bellow 80C for daily use tho). XTU is not good stress tester, highly suggest to download Intel Burn test. https://www.techspot.com/downloads/4965-intelburntest.html
What is your motherboard?

I ended up pushing my voltage to 1.3v in the bios at 5GHz and ran an hour long stress test in XTU, aswell as in Unigine Heaven while also testing my GPU overclock and it seems stable. CPU-Z is reading a max voltage of 1.325v being pulled at 5GHz while staying, what seems to be stable. Am I really lucky to achieve 5GHz with that low of voltage? Also, I've tried other stress tests such as Prime95, and LinX but they mess with the voltages and cause the cpu to go upwards of 85c which I do not feel comfortable with. Max I reached during the hour long stress test was around 77c while staying normally between 55c-70c. I will have to check out Intel Burn Test, although this overclock seems stable from what I've done so far with it.

*Note:
My motherboard is a MSI Z270 Gaming M7

You should use MANUAL voltage at early OC stage, looks like u using offset, XTU will not help to find stable OC for your system, even best stress test software like intel burn test cant, but IBT is the only software ive tried that push CPU a lot.
Also DONT go OVER 90C during IBT and you will be fine, you wont get this kind of temperature in games anyway, for daily use you shouldnt go over 80C.
Also if u see that your vcore during IBT stresstest is higher or lower than you set it in BIOS - tweak LLC setting (i believe it shown as % in MSI)

I am manually entering the voltage in the bios, I do have it on adaptive mode though.. If that's what you mean. I am aware that no stress test can really prove stability of a system, which is why I prefer just using the system how I normally would and just see if I run into any problems, if I do then I would go and adjust things. Stress tests don't only stress the CPU, they stress me out too.. Because instead of walking away and letting it go for an hour or two I sit there and watch it the whole time because I'm scared of the temps.
I'm also not sure what you mean by LLC.

I mean static voltage, which doesnt change on idle or load, it remains the same all the time.
Be done with CPU overclocking first then do on GPU.
LLC prevents voltage drop under heavy load. If you noticed that your VCORE reading in HWmonitor doesnt match what you set it in Bios you should adjust LLC or else forget about it.
Just use IBT for 10-15 mins u dont need to run it for hours like many people do, if it stable play some games like ROTR or Crysis 3 works best for me. You can also at the same time run IBT.
Here is the guide http://www.overclock.net/t/1621347/kaby-lake-overclocking-guide-with-statistics

Why would static be better? I thought I was done with CPU so that's why I moved on to the GPU, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.. Reading CPU-Z with adaptive mode on while im under load shows fluctuation from 1.315-1.334v at 5GHz. I'm still not sure how to find LLC in the bios or in MSI command center.

*I just ran intel burn test for a total of 15 seconds before the temps shot up to 95c and scared the fuck out of me.. I instantly stopped it and I'm definitely not trying it again.. I hope that didn't cause any real damage to anything, would it?

*Also, do you think delidding is worth it? If so, what materials would you say are necessary and how should I go about doing it?
