Here is the deal, I recently got a a new graphics card, to be exact it is a MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. I did my homework and this card can support 3 monitors. I have a dual monitor setup, but my monitors only can do a VGA or DVI. I use VGA cables for my monitors, these usually ran into VGA/DVI-I adapters so I could hook them up to my old card. With this new card, there is only DVi-D and HDMI. So here is the setup that is not showing any video (side note, there is no video, but the computer boots up fine, I can hear windows start though the speakers.) I have the VGA cable going to a VGA/DVI-I adapter, that gets plugged into a DVI-I/DVI-D adapter, then that goes into the DVI-D slot on the graphics card. The other monitor has the VGA cable run into a VGA/DVI-I adapter, then that goes into a DVI-I/HDMI adapter, then that goes into the card. The question is, what do I need to do in order to get a dual monitor system working with this card? Can I not chain adapters like that? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
