Hey all, finally built my PC for the first time yesterday, got it all together and installed the OS, and then installed HWiNFO64 to check for CPU temp/Voltage cause my BIOS was showing a temp of around 50C at idle and 1.4V and I didn't really feel comfortable with those figures.

So checked HWiNFO64 and found the volatge to constantly spike between 08.V and 1.5V, apparently that's not good, what do you guys think? Is there way to manually set the limit to 1.2 or something safer?

Temperature in the sensor has tCTL and tDIE, with the tCTL temperature reading around low 50s and tDIE reading low 30s, checked an article from what I understood, the tCTL temperature is purposely set 20C above actual temperature? But my CPU temp is reading low 40s in the sensors though.

The voltage will spike/dip very rapidly in perfect sync as processor ramps up and down in frequency under fluctuating loads...

Test it in gaming, Prime 95...

(Most models do use a +20C offset to stay ahead of heat on fan profiles, so a true 30C idle (with 50C indicated) is indeed quite probable..
