Blacks seem to flicker

Hello all,

I bought a new Palit GTX 1060 6GB yesterday and installed it to my system replacing an old Ati HD7950 (a venerable and trusty beast it was, if a little long in the tooth... and now also dead). My gaming experience has improved by an almost disgusting degree, however I've noticed a strange... flickering on my monitor. It's most noticable when the image on screen is black (eg: if I open MSPaint and fill with black, or if I'm looking down a scope in FO4, the "peripheral vision" around the viewfinder is flickering).

Curiously, I don't have this problem *before* installing the drivers for the card (currently 382.22 I think). If I use DDU to uninstall and then test out black screens in safe mode they are fine - flicker free. I am utterly convinced that this is not a hardware issue but a driver issue; Signal seems fine, and I'm *not* getting tearing, texture popping or dead pixels or anything like that (ingame or desktop), but when I google "black screen flicker" I get a lot of results that look like complete signal failure or severe artifacting. The flicker looks more like an illumination issue in my case and while not game braking, it's bloody distracting.

Anyone else suffered or heard of similar issues?

My System:

AMD-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz
MSI 990XA-GD55 AMD 990X
16GB Corsair Dominator DDR3
Corsair 2013 Edition Gamer Series GS 600W
*new* GTX1060 6GB Jetstream
Samsung SB32B350 Monitor (cheap from Tesco! - never had this flicker problem before though ;-) )
Win 7 Home Ed 64bit.

I've managed to sort the problem. Definitly only occurs once nVidia drivers are installed, so was about to give up hope when I started randomly prodding through the monitor's built-in settings. Activated something called "Samsung Magic Angle" and bam - Solved!

Don't know why it solved it, but it did!
