Hi all i was wondering if i can get some help as i am completely stumped on how to get my pc monitor to work with my pc. i got a new acer r241y wmid earlier today. It would always show no signal so we took it back and replaced it for this one, However no matter what i do i cant seem to get it to work with my PC. I have tried vga/dvi and hdmi. If there is no cable it detects there is no cable however when there is a cable plugged in it shows no signal then goes black. I have tried all connection ports on both GPU and mobo and it has been seen working on a different PC. Its strange as my other monitor has no issues. Yet if i plug it into my Xbox it gets picture instantly. Windows also doesn't detect it in devices or screens. My pc has a AMD Radeon R9380 by sapphire. Running radeon software 17.7.2. Driver 17.30.1041-1707201-316467cCrimsonReLive. Im also on windows version windows10Pro. version 1607, OSBuild 14393.1358. Also ive not found a way to be able to get into bios. My keyboard doesn't activate until windows boots. I have tried the restart option but my pc doesn't have the eufi option in advanced setting. Holding shift with the power to turn off also does nothing. Ive never had an issue like this any help would be appreciated. I have no tried changing settings in bios aswell. Turning off integrated graphics and changing pcie to 2 slots. still doing the same 'no signal' when connected to pc, even moving around the ram stick. However on xbox it works perfectly and instantly.

I just went through something similar. Try starting up with your old monitor plugged in. Go into Device Manager still with your old monitor plugged in, find the monitor, and uninstall it. Disable onboard graphics card (not your radeon) if you are running the new monitor directly from your amd gpu. then unplug the old monitor and plug in the new one. If it comes on, then reboot and see if that takes care of it. This is what worked for me! I am relatively novice at this sort of thing though, so read up a bit more before taking my word for it!
