My friend wants to upgrade his 32-bit computer to a 64-bit computer but he has no idea how exactly and to do it safely, I did some research but it's hard to understand. All I understood was that the processor must be 64-bit compatible and the rest of the given instruction was not understandable. His processor is 64-bit compatible so I don't think we need to worry about that.
Also I'm wondering if upgrading to a 64-bit computer requires money. And are their any risks when upgrading? Can anyone also give clear instructions on how to go from 32-bit to 64-bit?
