Hello all... I am planning a future build for a $700 Ryzen Gaming PC. I have always found this forum to be the foremost authority on all PC related items. My question is simply this....

If I buy a Ryzen CPU, do I still need to install BIOS updates before installing everything else? I would think by now the Mobo makers would have incorporated this by now. And if an update is needed still, are there more updates to follow once I install Windows?

Depends older stock will still run on the original bios so looking for an update isn't a bad idea. After you updated the bios you won't need to update it anymore.

Question from PCMDDOCTORS : "Ryzen CPU Updates 2nd Question"

Hello, I have recently posted a question here about weather or not mobo updates where still needed for Ryzen CPUs.

My next question is this... Weather I buy a board that has the updates or not, if I want to run the everything at stock, do I have to install updates anyway? Will the system run without them? Also if the updates are needed can in do it via LAN or WiFi instead of USB?
