Intel 750 → Samsung 960 EVO ?

current storage: Intel 750 AIC 800GB (PCIe)
possible upgrade: Samsung 960 EVO 1TB (M.2)

Majority of my specs are listed in signature. However my motherboard is a Asus Sabertooth X99. Even though migrating to M.2 would technically free a PCIe slot, one slot automatically becomes disabled from use of the M.2 slot anyway. It's a limitation of the X99 platform because of PCIe lanes.

The reason that this issue has come up is because I've decided to finally switch from WIndows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro (or Enterprise). I figured that while I'm upgrading platforms, I might as well consider upgrading storage as well. The additional 200GB of storage for games would come in handy as well. I would be selling my Intel 750 and buy the Samsung 960 Evo. I estimate that I'll have to add approximately $100 USD in cash. The other option is to keep the Intel 750 and simply install Windows 10 on it instead.
