when i put hard drive 500gb hitachi on computer its shuts down

Hello guys this happens to me twice ... I was using my computer last night and in the next morning i opened it the computer wont turn on i opened the computer and removed the hard drive and it opens

My question is what is the problem because it happens to me twice the first one is 160gn hard drive and i bought a new one the hitachi 500gb hard drive and i used it 5days then this happens again what could be the problem????

It's very likely that it's not an issue with a hard drive. Like I said, get a higher wattage power supply and it should work fine with the new HDD.

What do you mean by "and it opens" does it boot? If this is the case then your computer might not have enough power to power this particular drive.
