How do I dual-boot Windows 10 and Chrome OS Linux (OpenSuse based)? because I don't know how to create partition to dual boot the two Operating System. I've already tried installing it twice but the Windows 10 keeps getting erased and I can't find the Cr OS linux. When I boot up it shows "Missing Operating System". I got my installer here: http://getchrome.eu/

MERGED QUESTION
Question from GamerX23 : "Can't dual-boot Linux and Windows 10"

I've tried installing Cr OS linux on my Windows 10 laptop (Acer) but I can't seem to do it. The installation finished but there's no boot options for the two OS only Windows 10. I also can't make partitions while installing the linux there seems to be restrictions while installing it using bootable usb. Please help how do I dual-boot Windows 10 and Cr OS linux?

According to this article https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/02/chrome-os-distro-for-regular-pcs-can-now-dual-boot-with-windows/
you can get an OS that is based on Chrome but it is NOT chrome to dual boot on a PC.

According to this https://www.tenforums.com/installation-upgrade/13200-10-netbook-success.html , you can get Windows 10 to barely work on a netbook if that netbook is fast enough.

Which one are you trying, a netbook or a PC?

I guess that the only way for us to really help you is for you to tell us what kind of equipment you are using. Man have I done a lot of research on your question and I came up with a lot of alternatives, it really depends on whether you are using a netbook or a PC.

I think Chromium OS is different from Chrome OS Linux. Because Chrome OS Linux was build using the OpenSUSE so I don't have to have a chrome netbook. So I'm just like installing the customized OpenSUSE linux in my laptop so I don't think that it is impossible to dual-boot the two operating system in my laptop.

I am using the Acer E5-575G laptop. I'm just thinking about installing another hard drive in my laptop so I can dual-boot the two operating system. Because I've done some research that my hard drive could be the problem as it can't handle too much partition. Because 3 partitions are needed to install linux and then 2-3 partitions are needed for Windows 10. Correct me if I'm wrong man. I tried dual-booting Ubuntu linux and Windows 10 in my desktop but never find it so difficult compared to installing it in my laptop.

Like that article said, you can't use Chrome OS but you can install Neverware. You should try it.

I'm taking about the Chrome OS Linux that is based on OpenSUSE not the Chrome OS or Chromium OS that was produced by Neverware, they are different.

Cr OS Linux = http://getchrome.eu/

Chromium OS = https://www.neverware.com/freedownload
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy6SXM6vXZY
(NOT THIS ONE)

You can see the difference between the two OS and you're referring to the wrong one I'm talking about Cr OS Linux which is based on OpenSUSE so dual-booting is not impossible. For the record I already installed it on my laptop.

Thank you very much for all of the info and links. Although it looks like the particular OS that you are talking about can be installed into a PC, the question would be why would anyone want to do it? That particular OS, CR OS Linux, has not been supported or upgraded in over 4 years according to the links that you provided and the info that I can read.

One would wonder if an OS that has not been worked on or upgraded in over 4 years is safe to run in 2017. This little limitation seems to me to be red flag that screams to avoid .

If I were in the market for a Chromium-like OS I would consider the NeverWare because it has current support and development.

Again, thank you for all of the info and links that you posted. It does appear that CR OS Linux can be run on a PC desktop, but why would anyone run an OS that has not had any updates for over 4 years?

It's for educational purposes, we're instructed to install different linux flavors in our laptops. It is for python programming, thanks for your help though.
